Today we are listing this period flame mahogany federal/empire sofa that dates from the 1850s to 1860s era. This item is cosmopolitan with its carved cornucopias with fruits and leaves along the shapely pillow style arms. It has the less common big empire curl feet, beautiful flame mahogany all across the front of the sofa and even across the back skirt. Someone has reupholstered it over the years in a very nice looking green beige dotted fabric that remains in good condition. The piece has been touched up to remove any nicks and dings, so the piece is all ready to go into your home. The overall size is 85 inches long, 26 inches deep, 31.5 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the seat. This fantastic period sofa is in very good condition & will enhance any period decor.
