Undated Patriotic Civil War Token. Circulated condition as seen in photos with a few spots of corrosion and scratch between OUR COUNTRY on reverse. Civil War Token were produced between 1862 & 1864 because of the severe shortage of coins during the war. They became illegal after U.S. Congress passed a law on April 2, 1864 prohibiting there use. Crossed cannons with UNION 61 76, flags & drum within wreath. Full rim, good detail. Reverse has OUR COUNTRY with full rim, good detail in wreath. Starting at $.99 with NR.
