Union Generals CDVs by Mathew Brady. A collection of nine cartes de visite of Civil War generals, all by Mathew Brady except one (Burnside with Appleton back mark). The group includes the aforementioned Ambrose Burnside, plus: James B. Ricketts (Antietam. Bull Run), Edwin Sumner (Seven Pines, Fredericksburg), Ethan Allen Hitchcock (in charge of P.O.W. exchange), Charles H. Alexander, Godfrey Weitzel (Port Hudson, first to enter Richmond), Henry Prince (Mine Run, captured at Cedar Mountain), William B. Franklin (South Mountain, Fredericksburg) and John McClernand (Lincoln associate and Western commander). Some clipped corners and trimming; overall in very fine condition. Grade: 0, Service No.: 0
