HAND PAINTED FROM THE INSIDEOrnament is packaged in a fabric lined decorative box. The Union League of Philadelphia was founded in 1862 as a patriotic society to support the Union and Policies of President Abraham Lincoln. Built in the Beaux Arts style, it was designed by Phila. architects Horace Trimbauer & Julian Abele and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The masterful photography of Geri Dibiase is combined with the ancient art form of Eglomise to produce these very beautiful and unique glass ornaments. Eglomise is a Chinese art form that began in the early 1800's. Painters using small, curved brushes insert the brushes into the small hole at the top of the blown glass ornament to recreate images on the inside of the glass. Each piece is handcrafted to create a keepsake that can be treasured for generations. S+H in the USA is only $5.95 will combine shipping if 2 or more auctions are won on the same day.
