This is another type of UNION No 3 smooth bottom plane, probably made after Stanley bought out the UNION Mfg Co. The lateral adjusting lever is the twist type and the screws that hold the tote and knob are single piece steel.The wood is solid and may have been refinished. The UNION name is on the lever cap and the cutter. The STANLEY Company continued to sell planes with the UNION name for several years after they purchased the company. This is a fine example of a Union No 3 plane sold during that period. Check out the pictures and bid accordingly. Please check my other listings for other UNION planes.
