This is a SUPER RETRO and ULTRA QUALITY 17-piece lot of a great mixture of classic pieces made of two of the earliest plastics ever made: BAKELITE & CELLULLOID. Both materials emerged during the still extremely popular Art Deco era- a time when some of the most amazingly designed pieces were being made- today, these pieces and pieces of the same style are possibly even more popular than they ever were and EXTREMELY SOUGHT AFTER, especially pieces made of Bakelite and celluloid!This FABULOUS and METICULOUSLY CHOSEN lot of 17 pieces of both Bakelite & celluloid jewelry was intended to give you a great mix of all of the different styles and eras the two materials went through- all of which are still at their height of popularity… ALL BAKELITE IS POSITIVELY SIMICHROME TESTED & GUARANTEED!!!ALSO: ALL PIECES ARE IN FABULOUS FABULOUS CONDITION!Below are listed each item included and a bit about them, their history, colors, sizes, etc… Below that list is a short history of these types of both Bakelite and celluloid jewelry pieces, just to give the lot some context. Read it all or none of it as you wish… But please at least take some time to inspect the photos carefully- I tried to capture each piece as well as I could but the descriptions below help. And of course if you have any questions at all please feel free to message me and I'll do my best to help!Included are:SIX HAT PINS:-Four are Bakelite: 1.One simple chunky butterscotch colored rounded top piece (top part is 1" by 0.6" & entire piece is 6" in length)... 2. One ultra deco deep amber translucent long conical piece that widens towards the top (May or may not be missing a bottom piece that was once there but is lovely as is as well- measures in all 5" long & bakelite top is 3" long by 0.5" at its widest point)...3 & 4. Two super unique shorter large spherical pieces in pink and green that have a Lucite iridescence to them uncommon to Bakelite (Both measure 4" long, both top spheres are 0.75" in diameter)...-Two are Celluloid:5. One is a large statement piece with a beautiful pale blue and transparent cala lily shaped large flower at the top (the lily part is roughly 2.25" tall & 1.25" wide & the entire piece is 9" long)...6. One is a smaller faceted translucent yellow and royal purple pointed piece (The top of this one measures roughly 1" by 0.5" & the entire piece is over 7.5" long)...THREE STICK PINS:-All three are Celluloid:7. One is a fabulous two-sided yellowish green-colored piece with a rhinestone-studded large rectangular top piece & a teardrop shaped bottom piece (2.5" in length, the top rectangle is 1" by 0.75")...8. One is a sweet deco black and silver toned piece, two sided with a circular black & silver top and a black tubular bottom part (2" in length, the top circle measures 0.6" in diameter & bottom tube measures 1" by 0.5")...9. The third is a unique one-sided stick pin with a large red and white carved celluloid domed circle piece with a flat back as the top piece (2.75" long & the top circle measures 1" in diameter)...THREE PAIR SHOE/DRESS/FUR CLIPS:-One is Bakelite & two are Celluloid:10. The Bakelite are a super valuable pair as they're carved butterscotch Bakelite & very chunky & large, truly desireable and sought-after classics! (Each measure 1" by 2" & are 0.25" thick!)...11. One of the celluloid pairs of clips are elaborately carved floral pieces- this type of celluloid jewelry was once termed "ivory" due to their ivory like look & similar carving style (Each measure 1" by 2")…12. The last clips are a sweet pair of hard plastic deep red grape clusters with a silvery sheen to them (1.85" wide & 2.15" long)...ONE PAIR OF EARRINGS:13.
