Unique Dragon Models German Splinter camo jacket parka This is one of those unique, one-of-a-kind items that I bought several years ago because it was TOO COOL to pass up. Dragon Models makes those neato 1/6 th scale G.I. Joe type figures with accurate German combat uniforms. I own one that is IDENTICAL to all of my full sized original items. I call it "mini-me" because every item the figure has, I own matching originals from the tan and water winter parka to the MP-40 and panzerfaust. Anyway, at one of the huge Dragon trade shows, the employees working were given these splinter to white reversible jackets to wear. (this one was never worn and came to me in plastic bag) One side is an accurate splinter pattern camo and other side is a white rain replellent material. The jacket has a Dragon patch on lapel that shows Dragon's 1/6 th scale splinter camo and makers marks (see pixs). This is a REAL NEAT item for just about ANY German WWII collector to wear out during rain storms, winter hunts or just to impress your reenactment buddies. This is FAR batter than the Hong Kong knock offs because of it's rarity one-of-a-kind association with Dragon Models. Be the ONLY collector out t with one of these! Jacket has waist and hood straps and black plastic buttons on both sides. It also has patch hip pockets that reverse and is obviously patterned after the heavier winter combat jackets except for this is a light weight "windbreaker" type of parka and wears like a smock.. Even has buttons on sleeves to attch identification ribbons, just like originals. GREAT for Halloween costume without resorting to wearing rare original stuff like I used to during drunken college frat parties. (which is a whole different story). TERMS & CONDITIONS, ETC. I've spent well over 30 years (since age 15) collecting German WWII combat militaria centering around building a complete uniform grouping of a late war Wehrmacht NCO serving in East Prussia/Germany winter of 1944-45. My greatest collecting love has always been the Wehrmacht camo reversible winter combat parkas, trousers, gloves and hoods. It's probably because I watched too many Clint Eastwood war movies, The Eagle Has Landed and Cross of Iron with James Colburn w the Germans were always running around in these jackets. From age 12 - I was hooked from then on. Of course, when I was 14, having the money OR the resources to find & buy original jackets were limited. But as my German WWII collection grew from field equipment into full groupings, so did my interest in owning ALL versions of the winter camo gear. Over the years, I've owned just about ALL versions of Wehrmacht camo except for the first issue pattern grey to white set, which I finally managed to obtain during the last few years. I have been selectively reducing my German militaria collection during the past few years and MANY of you have taken advantage of fair prices and outstanding conditions of previous auctions. I've met and corresponded with many of you, sharing stories and photographs of our collections. Some of you have built museum quality displays FAR in excess to mine, even at the height of my militaria collecting frenzy. But my collecting tastes have changed into a different area during the past 5 years and I have been selling off one collection to support another. I've switched to buying original art of the 18 th Century British Etching Revival and first edition books relating to the period. As a career art director and fine art etcher myself, I feel that this is a greater collecting love. Most of the heavy duty collectors out t have dealt with me before but I'll repeat my return policy.
