Unique portrait of Andy Warhol deep fried by famed SOTS artist Alexander Melamid as part of the "HELL/HEAVEN" exhibition at (Art) Amalgamated in Chelsea, New York. Each iconic figure is hand-fried by the artist. It is a mischievous, light-hearted take on serious subject matter--image burning by protesters during uprisings and revolutions. Metaphorically destroying these venerated icons becomes a cleansing ritual. Each portrait is packaged in a clear hinged-lid container. It is prepared like other fried food items, meaning there unique markings from the oil on each portrait --no two are the same. There's also grease residue on some of them due to the nature of photographs and oil together. Each portrait costs $25.00 + $25.00 for shipping and handling via USPS.
