The bayonet bears the motto "Ehre, Kraft, Freiheit"(Honor, Strength, Freedom)! This spectacular bayonet by Eickhorn rates minty and retains trace amounts of the original, factory varnish. The etched blade is gorgeous and the motto retains all of its burnishing. The grips rate mint with no wear, cracks or looseness. The pommel rates almost mint with some extremely faint, microscopic, staining mostly on the back side. The scabbard rates almost mint with no wear or dents and shows one tiny scratch. The original issue paper bag was located and is being included with this bayonet that it originally came with! The bag is torn almost in half, I assume when the bayonet was removed. The bag is nicely marked "Original Eickhorn, Seitengewehr, Nr. 555, Ganze, Lange, 35 cm". If you want one of the best examples around, THIS IS IT! Guaranteed 100% Authentic!
