UNITED STATES COAST GUARD AUXILLIARY TYPE III PFD This is new Stearns PFD. The label in side the vest states the following (I've highlighted the key points): Catalog No. 4185, Sport vest, Adult XX-large. Model 29-57 Style 09. Chest size 50-52 inches. It is CG approved number 160.064/28510. Strength tested at 100mph. It has a zipper down the front with 3 snaps and a whistle. It also has two straps which tuck into the back but can be fed between you and buckled into the front eyes...t by preventing the jacket from floating up around your neck and chest. The back states: U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILLIARY in white 1 1/2" letters. I purchased this high impact PFD and and had my PWC authorized as a Operational Facility. I got qualifed then the next thing the Flotilla decidesto is to disband the PWC program. So the PWC 's OPFAC was cancelled and I'm stuck with a new PFD that I bought for 125.00 from the CG Auxilliary website. Needless to say I am longer in the CG Auxilliary.
