This is an extremely rare original vintage University of Texas Longhorns intaglio glass stone tie tack or lapel pin.It is an Absolutely gorgeous and very rare piece. This glass stone measure 15mm, and is set in a unique antiqued gold colored brass setting.This is a wonderfully detailed piece and features the University of Texas Longhorns Logo in a vintage glass cabochon. This is a great vintage intaglio piece and each one has been reverse carved and individually hand painted in West Germany during the 1940's. It is in mint condition, very clearly painted and the glass is pristine. There are no scratches, breaks, discolorations or damage of any kind. This pendant displays excellent workmanship, the kind not seen anymore. The details in this piece are great, and the photo doesn't really do this great old piece justice.Each one has been individually and tediously hand painted. This is a truly beautiful piece and is quite a conversation piece when worn. It is something vintage and unusual, and something you don't see much of anymore.A perfect addition for a student or alumni!These cabachons were sometimes called intaglios, rosettes, reverse crystals or "Cabs".
