How about a dose of Victorian nostalgia for your wardrobe? For your consideration, this Victorian Revival "pseudo" slide charm bracelet with faux pearls, rubies and turquoise. This is an unsigned Goldette N.Y., famous for its distinctive Victorian-style jewelry. Even with markings, this bracelet bears the unique Goldette half moon-shaped end bands and clasp, plus the textured gilt base, and the bracelet design itself. Not all Goldette jewelry is marked, and it's as common to find one that's not as it is to find one that is.It's a pseudo-slide because the charms in this bracelet actually do not slide along two fine chains, they just look like they do.It has large charms — an oval faux ruby on a bed of gilt rope, a pair of mirror-image demilunes with faux turquoise and pearl seed gems, and a pair of floral shaped gilt elements with faux ruby stones.Alternating between these charms are pairs of faux pearl links, which give the illusion of the slide. The pearls are a rich cream hue and glossy. The bracelet is about 7 1/2" long and 1/2" wide. It has the Goldette's trademark foldover clasp flanked by half-moon shaped bands, plus its trademark safety chain feature. In excellent shape, with little visible wear. All the pearls are in fantastic shape, with no visible nacre loss. All the faux gemstones are intact.
