's a pipe that is not seen very often on eBay: an unsmoked and pristine Connoisseur . Ed Burak said that this shape is based on an apple design, but one could also think of it as a sort of Dublin, or even a pot. As are all Connoisseurs , this one is unstained. The buyer will have the pleasure of watching the beautiful Grecian plateau briar color naturally as the pipe is smoked. The straight grain floats up from the rear of the upward and forward over the bowl to end in birdseye on the front of the pipe. The rim is 100% birdseye. The grain shows an extensive pattern of growth rings testifying to the age and quality of the briar.This pipe belongs to a friend who has owned it for several years and found it too beautiful as is to smoke.
