1940s HAND PAINTED SAUCE BOWL & SPOON Lovely porcelain sauce bowl measuring 2-1/8" tall and almost 4-1/2" wide and matching sauce spoon measuring approximately 4" long. Featuring a round, deep bowl sitting on three button feet, interior is hand decorated in a soft matt blue and high luster white traditional crane pattern with gold accents - exterior is high gloss white - bowl is stamped HAND PAINTED NIPPON. Small spoon has a curved handle, rimmed flat spoon end, and is also decorated with the same pattern - blue is just the slightest shade darker than the bowl and handle has a slight yellow luster color - both pieces date to the 1940s. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or discoloration - neither piece appears t have been used, as t are no wear or scratches from utensil contact - wonderful set! Striking and unusual, decoration is delicate and stylized - understand these were manufactured by Nippon as Blue Sky, White Crane pieces - pretty addition to any table or collection! I will be listing more of this pattern, and can certainly combine shipping! If questions, please email - thanks and good luck!
