This is a very unusual and early miniature portrait of a lady that looks to date to the 18th century. It displays well, frame is in very good condition with age wear to the brass oval and a little to the frame. Portrait appears to be on a natural wafer and it looks as though there is a crack or separation to the portrait on the side with the curtain that runs up and down. Very hard to see on display. Oval glass measures 3 inches by 2 1/2 inches and the frame is 5 1/2 inches by almost 4 3/4 inches.
