Unusual Marcel Boucher Pin This Boucher pin / brooch is part of a very large collection of vintage jewelry that I have acquired over the years. I am forced to sell off parts of my collection because I am leaving the country and must downsize. All of these pins are vintage and well loved and worn by me. I have tried to maintain them and should t be any noticeable wear, which is almost inevitable with vintage pieces i will describe to the best of my ability. Whenever I can give details I will do so. Why do I call this pin unusual? Well Boucher pins usually had rhinestones in them and were very decorative. Boucher costume jewelry was considered very high end. This piece is made to look as if it is fabricated of ivory and gold. What the actual material is that simulates the ivory I am unsure. I do know it is a very classy and understated piece. The pin/brooch measures 2" from top to bottom, 2" across and sits proud about 1 1/4". Marcel Boucher designed jewelry for Mazer Bros. in the early 1930s. He established his own company, Marcel Boucher and Cie Company, in 1937 to design and produce his costume jewelry. The company became a subsidiary of Dovorn Industries, a watch manufacterer, in 1972. Boucher jewelry is usually signed and carries an inventory number. Early marks are "Marboux" or "MB" in a cartouche. Later marks are "Marcel read more
