Silver Cloud Nursery My name is Michele Wilson. I have been a reborn artist for 7 years. My reborns have been puchased by customers from all over the world. Every reborn I create is made from my heart. I strive to capture the true essence of babies from preemies, to todders, giving each their own personality. My reborns look, smell, and feel soft and sweet just like a real baby. I use only clean, new materials in their creation, sparing no expense in the process. I replaced Keyden's original 1/4 limbs with the 3/4 limbs from Rebecca so there are more clothing options. Both the limbs and the head were sculpted by the very talented artist, Reva Schick. Keyden was hand-painted with Genesis heat set paints. These paints are permanent and will not fade or rub off over time. They are wonderful to work with because you can build layers of transluscent colors to create realistic, 3-dimensional skin tones. They are also non-toxic. Keyden has multiple layers of Genesis to achieve a gorgeous baby-like complexion. She has tiny stork bites, subtle veining and a tiny scratch on her nose. All of her little chubby baby creases have been blushed and highlighted to give a realistic appearance. She has a touch of semil gloss on her lower lip and in her eyes to add a moist effect. Below you can see how she looked before and how she looks now....... Keyden has a wonderfully soft and cuddly faux-suede body that allows her to be posed in the sweetest, cuddliest positions. She is weighted to feel like a real preemie baby. Her torso, limbs, and head are weighted with plastic poly-pellets (non-toxic) that are contained in small nylon pouches surrounded by super soft fiberfil. She has 3/4 limbs so she can wear cute little dresses and shorts outfits or my favorite, a diaper and tshirt. Her limbs are jointed at the shoulders and hips for easy movement and posing. She wears real baby clothing in newborn and some 0-3 month sizes.Her little fingers and toenails have been tinted, tipped and sealed. Keyden's hair is meticulously hand-painted using Genesis paints in various shades of browns to create depth and realism. She has highlights added to create the illusion of shorter hairs and a peach fuzz look. Some artists feel that painting a reborn's hair takes away from the realism. However, I absolutely love the way a painted head looks and if done correctly, you can achieve a realistic baby head with a paint brush just as nicely as you can a rooting needle. Keyden's eyebrows were also hand-painted to match her hair in single, wispy strokes.Her eyelashes are hand-applied in a wispy light brown shade.
