From a large, local estate/tag sale or auction, a gorgeous 5 footed floral design open salt with lots of gold detail and a marked sterling spoon. The salt is 5/8" tall, the flared out base is scalloped and molded with 5 feet? The salt is 2 5/8" from foot, to foot etc., 1 3/4" diameter top opening and approximately 1/2" deep. The white/off-white salt has a small notched top edge around the top opening the molded and scallops are gold enamel(slightly worn in spots) The interior of the salt has small pink rose buds with soft green & gray leaves and stems. No marks on the base to determine maker or country of origin but it is in the tradition of unmarked Nippon or Limoges! The sterling salt spoon is 2" long with a 1/2" diameter shell? shaped spoon at one end and a very art deco handle, the mark on the back "STERLING" also another mark we cannot make out(possibly the makers mark). No chips, cracks, crazing, hairlines or repairs, t may be very slight gold loss, the marked sterling spoon is perfect(but needs polishing)!
