Up for auction is a very impressive pair of antique Chinese silver filigree and scrimshaw earrings. The scrimashaw panels depict young robed figures at the waters edge attempting to catch some sort of creature. The earrings are exceptionally well crafted with intricate filigree work and fantastic attention to detail on the scrimshaw panels. Each measures approx 3/4" long. They are unmarked, but have tested as silver. The condition is excellent with no damage and light wear consistent with age. An exceptional example of early 20th century Chinese scrimshaw jewelry.
