Uranium Ore collected in Arizona - This large sample is 3 inches x 2 inches x 4 inches and weighs in at 1 lb 4 ounces. A nice specimen for your collection and to use as a Geiger Counter test source. This is one of the most active samples I have seen! Typical Geiger Counter measurements : Photo #6 - Approximately 3,000 cpm on a CDV-700 with a standard probe Photo #7 - Approximately 30,000 cpm on a CDV-700 with a Pancake Probe ( Full Scale ) Photo #8 - 2043 MicroRems on a Polimaster PM1703M ( Gamma Only ) - 204 times normal background level Optional Bonus Purchase For an additional $4.00 I am offering to the winning bidder of this Geiger Counter test source a Tungsten 2% Thoriated Welding Rod. This Electrode is 7 inches in length 1/8 inch in diameter and weighs just under 27 grams. This rod registers approximately 100 cpm on a CDV-700 with a standard probe, 1,000 cpm with a pancake probe and 35 MicroRems on a Polimaster PM1703M ( 3 1/2 times normal background level ). Additionally, the metal in this Welding Rod is so hard that I couldn't cut through one with a hack saw. This is a nice un-usual item for your collection. If you are the winning bidder and you want to add one of these to your purchase, before you pay, simply let me know in an email and I will send you an adjusted Pay Pal invoice reflecting the additional $4.00.
