Up for your consideration is an original US Army White Mess Dress Uniform, as issued to a career NCO and still featuring most of his original insignia sewn to the jacket. The original owner retired a Command Sergeant Major in I Corps, and his chevrons and service stripes are still sewn to the jacket. Also pinned to the lapels are the I Corps crest and basic parachutist insignia (miniature). Miniature medals were unfortunately removed and kept by the owner. The jacket is XL size (44" chest) and has all its original buttons, as well as the often-lost button-chain that secures the front of the jacket. Also included are the white dress shirt (XL or 17 to 17 1/2) by Classix, white cummerbund/vest, and black dress slacks (35" waist) w/stripe down the legs. No shoes or bow tie, but these are easy to acquire. This is an incredibly expensive uniform to purchase, as any career NCO or officer knows ($250-300 USD). This one was seldom worn, and although it could probably use a dry cleaning, it is in excellent condition with virtually no soiling or damage of any kind. Makes a terrific addition to any collection of US Army dress uniforms, a splendid costume, or a very affordable uniform if you need and can fit this one.I will be listing quite an assortment of international camouflage uniforms, hats, and field equipment over the coming weeks.
