Up for auction is a nice US M5A1 Bayonet that fits the famous M1 Garand used during WWll and Korea. The bayonet and scabbard is in used condition but nice as can be seen from the listing photo's. The blade has it's original shape and edge. No breaks in the handle. Release button works fine. I do not know when this particular bayonet was made but I understand that this style bayonet went into production for the military during the early 50's. It was manufactured for several years afterwards and was originally designed to replace the old Garand Bayonet because of need for a shorter bayonet that could easly be atttached to the Garand with a gloved hand. Thus, the M5A1 came about. Would make a great addition to your M1. I took several photo's so be sure to check them out. Starting bid of $9.95 with shipping being $9.00 by quick priority mail.
