You are bidding on a US Military Camillus TL-29 Lineman Folding Pocket Knife The knife was recently obtained from an estate sale and was a part of a private collection. The knife shows to have been well cared for, exact and age is unknown. I believe this knife was standard issue as # TL-29, during the WWII and on eras to the Army Signal Corp. Lineman, and other military branches as well. I believe this knife fits with the signal corpsman CS-34 leather pouch. I believe the TL stands for Telephone lineman or Tool Lineman I believe this is early version made by the Camillus Cutlery Company for the Military. The knife has the wood handles, the bowtie inlay shield marked TL-29. The screwdriver blade has directions for closing the blade, but is very hard to make out; you need a mag. glass to read. The blade tang is stamped on one side Camillus, Cutlery Co. Camillus NY. The knife has a bail and has a 2 3/4" master blade, a 2 7/8 screwdriver blade with brass push lock, and is 3 3/4 " long closed. The handles are wood, I believe Walnut, and I believe the knife has nickel bolsters and brass liners and a cord hole in handle. The Knife is in good condition, blade opens freely and has plenty of snap. As with the vintage of the knife, t is some light sharpening marks, and spots of discoloration on blades, all as noted from the photos. read more
