This DVD contains the original, uncut US Navy T-28 Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training film, Carrier Landing Procedures, as captured directly off the original 16mm film.This film includes detailed instructions for landing, touch and go, bolter and wave off procedures. It also includes great footage of USS Lexington (CV-16), on which this movie was filmed.Approximately 20 minutes running time, black and white.Produced by GRS Videos (TM), from the Gary R Schreffler Collection. GRS Videos is dedicated to the preservation of Naval Aviation film footage. This passion began when the son of a recently deceased Korean War veteran told me how he had thrown away all of those "old 8mm films of planes flying off of a ship". Yes, I cried. Our heritage MUST be preserved. As a veteran of Naval Aviation, I have a strong interest in ensuring that our stories are not forgotten.
