USN Navy Officers Dress Sword, Scabbard, Dust Cover, Leather Case, and Sword Belt with Hangers, Museum Quality!!! Up for auction is a US NAVY SWORD in EXCEPTIONAL condition. This is a complete Officer's setup and is in virtually Museum Quality condition. The blade is perfect. The engraving/embossing is detailed and magnificent. T is no name engraved on the blade. This also comes with the tassel know that is still in the box. The scabbard has extremely minor marks from handling, but the finish is excellent. The leather case shows minor wear, but it is fantastic, as well. All of the plating is exceptional. I bought this as an heirloom, but we can use a little extra cash for the holidays, so I am reluctantly letting this go. The sword was produced in Solingen , Germany . The blade is stainless steel. Sword is stamped Hilborn and Hamburger, Inc. of New York , a U.S. Government approved contractor with the Star Of Damascus Proof Mark and approved. Please note that t is no name engraved on the blade, the space for the name is blank. This should make this sword more valuable. I am not sure of the age. The blade measures 29" and the overall length is about 34 inches. This should appeal to a collector of Case XX, Militaria, Artifacts, Military antiques, weapons, etc. T is a VERY LOW reserve and the starting price is set ridiculously
