This document is from the files of a New Hampshire law office that did business in the 19th century. It is 100% authentic. These were the guidelines as issued in 1850 for US citizens to obtain a passport. Times have indeed changed as getting one back then was FREE! It is printed on pale blue paper and measures 8 x 12 1/2 inches. T are a few words written on the back. Upper right corner bent over. Note that a description of the person was extensive as it was difficult to have your picture taken in those days. Questions welcome. Shipping combined on paper purchases usually for no extra charge.
