USA Scott #U504 The 2c carmine "George Washington" (Scott Type U93) issue of 1915-1932 on blue paper Die 7 (Large head, both numerals slope to right, clean cut lettering, all letters "T" have short top strokes) With a 1 1/2c surcharge applied in 1925 This paper is known only with die 7 and die 1, I am not 100% sure it is die 7 but am listing it as that since die 1 is more expensive The current owner purchased this material from one of the big time stationary dealers 40 or so years ago and it is being sold here intact but in several lots These are identified on the reverse (with light pencil markings) with all information Size is approximately 51 mm x 45 mm Full corner Unused Very fine Check the scan for more detail on the centering and the margins Retail value in the 2005 Scott Specialized catalog is $350.00 This lot is from an extensive collection of USA cut squares which will be listed here, all are the property of a prominent Charlotte collector of USA and possessions who is donating all of the proceeds to a scholarship fund at his University Postage and handling for US delivery is free We have many lots available for sale in our eBay Store. Policies and Procedures Descriptions - We attempt to describe each item accurately using standard terminology (very fine, fine, good, ect. for stamps). Sometimes we make a mistake, and sometimes the buyer disagrees with our opinion. In these instances, please let us know and we will do our best to resolve the problem. Our lots may be returned intact for a refund for seven days after receipt. Communication - We respond promptly to all email inquiries. We are usually on duty seven days a week. We send buyers a thank you with notice of shipment and enter feedback immediately upon receipt of payment. We use commemorative stamps, usually older ones, to pay the postage. Shipping Time - We ship orders same or next day after receipt of payment. However, there is no mail pickup out of Tryon from Saturday noon until Monday noon. If shipment is delayed (Christmas, Visiting the Grandkids, ect.) we let our buyers know when to expect shipment. Tracking Information - Not available on USPS shipments unless the item is registered, which costs $11 or so Shipping and Handling Costs - We do not charge handling fees. We attempt to charge only the actual shipping costs, which the buyer can audit by the amount of postage on the envelope or package. Shipping for USA delivery is free on most auction lots. If the actual postage is less than the buyer has paid, we will refund the difference via PayPal. If the actual postage is more than we charged the buyer, we pay the difference. Buyers, bidders and prospective bidders may inquire for clarification No reserve on this lot! Payment may be made through PayPal, which is a free service to buyers.
