T-37 "Tweet" from the 37th Flying Training Squadron "Bengal Tigers" You are buying a new/unused full color patch (measures 4.25" tall by 3.75" wide and 100% embroidered) with matching aircrew/flight pilot scarf (measures approximately 47" long by 3" wide (from the bottom ends and tapers to 2" wide in the middle and is made of silk material by Rakkel) from the 37th Flying Training Squadron (37 FTS), Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. This 37 FTS patch and pilot scarf set is from the T-37 Tweet era. The unit currently conducts primary flight training in the T-6 Texan II. 37th Flying Training Squadron - "Bengal Tigers" "The 37th Flying Training Squadron conducted primary flight training in the twin-engine Cessna T-37. Seated alongside an instructor, each student receives about 81 hours of training in this aircraft. Students learn basic aircraft characteristics and control, takeoff and landing techniques, aerobatics, and night, instrument and formation flying. The 37th Flying Training Squadron traces its lineage to the 37th Pursuit Squadron (Interceptor) which was constituted on 20 November 1940 and activated on 15 January 1941 at Hamilton Field, CA.
