Presented cheque in favour of Sarah Poirer (full name Sara Romanowsky viuda Poirier) drawn on Bank of London and South America Limited, November 3rd 1939, for £54-0-0. Included with the cheque are two typewritten letters or documents from the Chilean Government, dated 1915, relating to Sara Romanowsky viuda Poirier and to Enrique Poirier. They are written is Spanish on official government watermarked paper, with cancelled 5 and 10 cent stamps. They are entitled Discernimiento and Posesion Efectiva. The condition of the letters is not as good as the cheque -they have been folded and have worn through in a couple of places. The corners are rubbed and the two pages are pinned together. I do not know what the significance of the letters are but they are obviously connected through Sarah Poirier.
