USED CONN 7M ALTO SAXOPHONE WITH CASE. (PLEASE NOTE THE AUCTION ENDING TIME)This is a beautiful Conn 7M Alto Saxophone.Please don't confuse this with an UMI built sax. The 7M was intended to replace the 6M as Conn's professional level model before the company started declining in the late 1970s. It has the same bore and body tube design as the 6M but the key work has been redesigned and modernized. Much more comfortable to play than the 6M. The intonation on the horn is very good. These are pretty rare as the repair person has never seen one before.Some interesting details:An optional key linkage! It de-couples the G#/C# connection. (Please see last photo.) It's a similar concept to what Couesnon and SML did, except their linkage was switchable whereas this one is attached with a screw. Neck octave key has a stylish "beak" which also looks like an "M" for 7M. The octave key touch is long and ornate with a stylized "Conn" at the top. This key design isn't seen on any other Conn sax.The horn plays well. No damage and it is in very nice condition for a 50 year old saxophone. Be the first on your block to own one of these rare birds!This Conn is built very well and designed to last! I measured the brass thickness on the neck tenon. It is .043 inch or1.12mm thick.
