Are you ready for this!! Envelope: From: Navy Department U.S. Frigate Constitution West Coast - Offical Business. To: Miss Marion Morcum c/o Mayor Morcum, Oakland, Cal. Letter: United States Frigate Constitution Cruise To Pacific Coast Ports of the United States. "Dear Marion: We think you are a sweet and very pretty girl. You were so very attractive as a dinner guest last evening and we apprecated so much being in your company. Please wear this ribbon on your wedding dress. Affectionately, Louis J. Gulliver, Captain of the Constitution. Harry Hartly Excutive Officer U.S. Frigate Constitution" Ribbon: 36 inches long, normal material and lettering for Navy Cap Ribbons. A couple of light stains but these should wash out. All were in a frame when found, glued to cardboard, thus the stains on back of letter and envelope. T is a penciled date of 1932 on letter. I hate to say it but "One of a Kind!" Myers...Semper f!
