Own a rare piece of World War II Naval Carrier history. Hard Covered, 8" X 10 1/2" book. Lots of wonderful photos of the Ship and crew. Overall the book is in very good condition, especially considering it is over 60 years old. The Belleau Wood had a flight deck built on a cruiser hull. This was an emergency measure during World War II to get carriers into the Pacific. This book covers from 1943 leaving Philadelphia to 1945, entering Japan. Photos of crew at work and play, Kamikaze attacks, and crash landings.
