U.S.S. Iowa BB-61 Battleship Bronze Circular Plaque Painted and MountedThis bronze plaque was handed down from a US Navy Sailor who had a long naval career starting in World War II. Please review pictures for condition of item.The bronze plaque is roughly 6 1/4" in diameter and a little under 1/2" thick. It displays BB-61 on the top and U.S.S. Iowa on the bottom. It has a flying eagle that is holding banner in it's mouth with the words, "Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain". The background is painted blue and the banner is painted white. The bronze plaque is mounted on a circular piece of wood 7" in diameter and 3/4" thick with 2 screws. The wood has a hole for a hook so that it can be hung and displayed.
