USS VALLEY FORGE (CG 50) ZIPPO
Th e USS VALLEY FORGE ZIPPO is beautifully polished brass etched with the outline of the ship and the ship's shield.
The USS Valley Forge was a Ticonderoga Class cruiser, named for the camp place of the Continental Army during the American Revolution. The ship was decommissioned August 2004, the first ship with the Aegis combat system withdrawn from service.
The ship's motto was "First in War -First in Peace" , but this is probably the one of last opportunities to get a USS Vally Forge zippo as the ship was sunk as target practice near Kauai, Hawaii in 2006.
