'Mad' Max Papis made his CART debut in sad circumstances, following the death of Jeff Krosnoff in 1996, but the lasting memories of his tenure in the series are of a smiling, emotional and occasionally spectacular driver who earned his nickname with aplomb. Papis stayed with the Arciero-Wells Racing team for the next two years. In 1998 he had a best finish of 5th in Houston and wound up in the top 20 overall.This auction is for a UT Models 1/18 scale Max Papis #25 MCI 1998 Toyota-Reynard. It was produced in a very limited edition run. The car features proper decal placement, steerable front wheels, detailed driver figure in the cockpit, and realistic 1998 Reynard bodywork. This car really shines under the lights on display.You're bidding on an extremely rare Toyota MCI Racing Formula 1 die cast model made by Unique Toys in the late 1990's before both companies (MCI and UT) disappeared.
