Van Hoople Oil Seascape Description : Van Hoople Oil Oil on a plaster textured board. 21 x 37 inches. California artist, Van Hoople, born Chicago,Il. 1934. Hired by Paramount Studios in Hollywood. Apprenticed for Cecil B. DeMille as scenic art director, P T Blackburn. Has been under exclusive contract with Hillside Galleries since 1957. Signed l/r: V Hoople . (In good condition.
