Vasart / Ysart Bros paperweight: 67 mm / 2 5/8 inch diameter Description: Interesting example of a spoke and millefiori paperweight made by Vasart or Ysart Bros, probably in the 1950s - 1960s. The millefiori canes are quite large and / or complex, and set high in the dome over a dark cushion. The base has fine radial lines, and has been ground to remove much of the pontil scar - typical treatment for this maker. Size : diameter 2 5/8 inch / 67 mm; height 1 5/8 inch / 42 mm. Condition : very good - no chips / bruises / scratches; a few near invisible surface marks; some dirt in the clear glass from manufacture . The item is located in the UK, but bids are welcome from anywhere in the world.
