Offered is this lovely Vaselineglass compote or comport made of canary yellow crystal with a frosting of opalescenton the scalloped rim. The pattern of the bowl includes a combination of flowers and scrolls. The foot takes the shape of a four-leaf clover. The compote stands 4.75 inches high (12.1 cm) and measures 4 5/8 inches in diameter. This could be used as a large sherbet stem. It would also make a lovely presentation piece for serving blueberries or raspberries. This piece is in good condition. There is a small nick on one toe of the foot, which we have pictured in the last photo. This defect is more easily felt than seen. Otherwise no chips or cracks. We don't know the maker or the pattern of this piece but believe it dates before World War II. We would appreciate any additional information from a more knowledgeable eBay member.
