Up for auction are 10 ten Yellow Opaline glasses by Portieux Vallerysthal a French glass company that operated up to the turn of the 19th century. The original sticker is on the base of 3 of the glasses and reads "P.V. France". I have seen the milk glass, the blue opaline and pink on ebay but not this color. The French call this color yellow opaline but it has also been called Opaque and Vaseline glass as well. As the 4th picture shows, t is a glow with a regular black light bulb so with a led bulb the uranium will probibly be more dominant. The set consists of: Two - 7 1/4" Iced Tea or Water Goblets Two- 6 1/2" Water or Wine Goblets Two- 5 3/8" Red Wine Goblets Two- 5 3/8" White wine or Champagne Goblets (1 has a small chip on rim; see pic #5) Two- 3 1/4" Cordials These are wonderful collectable glasses aquired from an estate of a very modern-retro-deco collector.
