The Veiled Vestal / Maiden A reproduction of the 'Veiled Vestal' statue sculpted in the 19th Century by Italian sculptor Raffaelle Monti (1818 - 1881) and often referred to as the Veiled Lady or the Veiled Bride. It portrays a young lady with a veil falling gently over her face held in place by a flowered headdress. The full size marble statue is displayed at Chatsworth House. Hand crafted using 90% white Italian Carrara marble; it's as close as you can get to the hand carved original – to both the eye and the touch. The inscription on the base reads A. Filli, Firenze, Italy. We don't have information on this inscription.
