Up for auction is a set of original vintage newspaper print ads featuring THE VELVET UNDERGROUND& NICO/ANDY WARHOL. The set includes 5 clippings plus an extra bonus. The high bidder will recieve: 1)November 1967 concert ad for appearances at THE MAD HATTER in New York City 2)November 1967 article by Andy Warhol 3)December 1967 concert ad for appearances at THE MAD HATTER in New York City 4)December 1967 article written by Andy Warhol himself about the current New York underground scene 5)June 1968 article about VALERIA SOLANIS, the girl who said she shot Andy Warhol. Article also has a little ad promoting THE VELVET UNDERGROUND's upcoming shows at the RETINAL CIRCUS on June 27th-30th. as a bonus we are throwing in a 1974 article featuring NICO from the UK publication MELODY MAKER. All clippings are in great condition. Shipping for this item is $7.00 for priority mail service. Overseas winner must pay for Express Mail and insurance as I have had problems with overseas mail being lost so all non-US buyers keep that in mind, and payment is due within 7 days after close of auction. Note: If the high bidder does not choose insurance we are not responsible for what happens after it is given to the Post Office.
