VENINI SPANISH DANCERS A PAIR SIGNED G. TOFFLO These figures were bought in 2003 for $1,700.00. We have 30,000 positive feedbacks- you will be happy! A fabulous pair of Spanish Castanet Dancers by the Venetian Glass Co. Murano Italy, both with original factory lables. The condition od both figures is perfect, and each is signed engraved on the base G. Toffolo. The size of each figure is a large 18 1/4" on the male figure and 17" for the female figure. Both are in perfect condition. From the hand of Giaccomo Toffolo, the head of a family of MASTER Craftsmen- Artist in glas who have all worked at Venini, would seem to date from 1925-1930's. The faces show the Art deco influence. The fascination with Venetian glass has existed since its creation as an art form. It has grown to mythic proportions as the world as a whole has come to appreciate the glory of Venetian glass. Glass is an evolving art. From conception to creation every stage lends to beauty of the final piece. The materials and techniques involved in manufacturing the raw glass itself are just as important to the final appearance of the piece as the firing and shaping of each piece of glassware.
