VERMONT National Governors Conference Bicentennial Silver Proof Medal ~22gThis auction is for a rare and vintage limited edition sterling silver proof medal that is one of the 50 medals in the NATIONAL GOVERNORS' CONFERENCE OFFICIAL BICENTENNIAL MEDALS COLLECTION issued by the National Governors' Conference and minted by The Franklin Mint in 1976. The medal is hermetically sealed in a official First Day of Issue envelope postmarked with the city and date of issue. The medal is 1-1/2" in diameter, is stamped "STERLING" on its edge and features a beautiful high base relief design with a brilliant proof finish. The silver weight of this is approximately 22 grams of sterling silver. But this IS NOT SCRAP, although the medal has precious metals value, it is also one of a very limited edition from this classic art medal series.
