Rare Indian Chilanumdagger could appear to be from as early as middle-ages, this is an all-steel dagger having a typical strong recurved double-edged blade with central ridged reinforcement, blade was cleaned to reveal nice gray steel which rings very loud when snapped with the finger, possibly early Damascus steel, some pitting remaining on the blade, the hilt showing original deep patina and pitting as evidence of tremendous age of the weapon. Heavy dagger, measuring 15" in length with a powerful 10 ¼" blade.
