Hi t and thanks for looking today. I just acquired this very nice trunk from a friend who is cleaning out and I am to help. This has been partially refinished and they did a very good job. It has alot of the original hardware left on it and the lock has something on it and I can only read part of it with a magnifying glass-pat. Mar-69 & April 67. That is the only markings I can find on it. Please take a close look at the pictures of this, I took 10 of them to try to cover the whole trunk. The only picture I forgot was the bottom and it is in very good shape also. You will notice on the back w the hinge is that they have changed the location of the right hinge due to a small hole in the back. They also decided to put some black leather strapping on each side, not sure why, but it doesn't look bad. If it were me, I would probably take it off. The top of the trunk has some very nice artwork and I hope you can see this in the pictures. It is on all 3 sections that are divided by the wood slats. It almost has a wagon wheel look to me, or starburst. T is also some on the front. I think the wood slats are oak, but not sure of the other wood on this, it is covered by the material.
