This is a beautiful, old brooch featuring pink crystal rhinestones and navettes, as well as a large center round AB stone and twelve smaller round AB rhinestones. All prong set. Pink round are roughly 8 mm, navettes 15 mm x 6 mm, center AB 11 mm and other AB's about 6.5 mm. The entire brooch measures 1.25 square inches and has a concave design (center pressing outwards). The pin mechanism on the back is stamped "A-F, Paris, Bte SGDG." I am not sure what the A-F refers to; the other letters presumably stand for " Brevete, sans garantie de gouvernement " (patented, without guarantee of the government, a.k.a. while the item stamped is patented, the government would not enforce the legality of the patent.) I would also assume that the stamp refers only to the pin mechanism and not to the brooch itself. The pin mechanism works well, but it has some small scratches on it from use--not visible when wearing the pin. This brooch is quite old and has been used. T are a couple of places on the back of two of the navettes w the foil came off, but the pin glitters so much that it is hard to see unless closely examined. Also could probably use a gentle cleaning. Apart from that, it is overall in very good pre-owned condition.
