PLEASE SEE MY PHOTOS. First let me say that I am no expert on vintage medical items, but I will try to describe this the best I can. You are bidding on a VERY VINTAGE pocket doctors surgical kit that is quite possibly from the 1890's ??. I can't find any date on the piece.This is being sold in AS IS AS FOUND condition. The kit is in its original leather pouch, and as you can see from the photos the leather pouch is quite well worn. Please try and study the photos to get an idea as to the condition of the pouch. T are 19 surgical items in this kit, along with a pouch of what look like curved needles and a paper pouch of wire things with small loop ends.The white item in the kit is a handle for the scalpel blades. This piece could be ivory, I don't know. The scalpel blades are marked GENOU PARIS. The leather pouch on the inside is marked, HAUSSMANN McCOY & DUNN, MAKERS OF SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS,122 RANDOLPH ST. CHICAGO. This kit and the other two kits that I am listing, (along with many vintage medical instruments that I will list later) were purchased at an estate auction in KANKAKEE, IL.
