Get your own map of past buyers. 100% COMPLETE Shin Gunto KATANA Retains Sarute & TASSEL In an internet world that is now AWASH with disgusting Chinese fakes, replicas & reproductions, it is NOT everyday that a collector gets the opportunity to acquire an entirely genuine COMPLETE un-messed-with ORIGINAL & 100% COMPLETE example of a 1933 Shingunto ("New Army Pattern") Imperial Japanese Army OFFICER'S "Samurai" style fighting sword This OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE is in excellent condition with all MATCHING serial numbered parts (# 73). The sword has a superb (unsigned) RAZOR SHARP 670 mm blade (Approx. 26.8 inches) in really EXCELLENT condition. IE = NO bends, cracks, chips, sharpening marks, NO rust or ANY pitting. No loss of tempering, No point-damage. There are NO stamps, signatures, numbers, date, or arsenal markings to the tang, just a single peg hole & the ORIGINAL WW2 era peg ! The blade has a BRIGHT, wide, obvious WAVY POINTED Hamon (Temper pattern) CLEARLY VISIBLE along full length, both sides & into the point-area There are some very minor "use marks" & some minor stains (that will disappear in time, & with careful cleaning) Scabbard bears almost 100% of it's original factory paint work.
