Lot of 2. 1.) “DR. LEGEARS PEP UP” 8 oz, Old tin with rust on top and bottom which were made of tin and at one time in a wet environment. Cardboard sleeve in good condition. Full contents does not appear to ever be opened. Pep Up was for all pets. States a month supply on label. Vitamins and Minerals to be mixed with food. Full paper label with direction on back. States for dogs, cats, birds, and horses. This tin sold for 98 cents. Graphic of happy smiling dog on front and silhouettes of all other animal heads on top of label. 2.) “ DR. LEGEARS PEP’r UP’r” vitamin and mineral supplement. For all pets, MINT, Full Contents of 8 oz and a newer version of #1 above. Full directions and doses on back of tin. Suspect 1940s tin. Beautiful colors and graphic of a very happy but ugly dog on the front label which is paper on cardboard. Tin top and bottom and cardboard sleeve. Both from the Dr. LeGear Co. of St. Louis , Mo. Nice old and newer version of the same product and very collectible. I would consider this rare for a LeGear item. I found these in a barn antique store in Pennsylvania in 1987.
