Gorgeous antique Victorian solid 14K rich rosy gold lavaliere in the form of a full figured Royal Crowned Lion with a prong set rose cut Burmese Ruby. Applied engraved leaves and intricate swirls decorate the lavaliere. A very large 14K engraved leaf serves as the lavaliere's big bail. The wonderful 14K gold lavaliere with its big leaf bail measures 2" X 1". The lavaliere's fabulous chain was made by Fishel & Nessler and is composed of gold fill. It measures 16" long and contains 6 intricate and interconnected foxtail chains and a great big beautiful locking slot clasp. Front of clasp is covered in ornate gold filigree. Reverse side of clasp is hallmarked F.N.CO. Fishel & Nessler began their jewelry company in 1885. Difficult to get an accurate weight on the solid gold lavaliere as it is permanently attached to it gold filled chain. Excellent original condition as pictured.
